The Day Creek Concert Band is our 6th Grade performing group. Students in the Concert Band are generally in their second year of experience on their instrument. The Concert Band class builds on skills gained in the elementary band program. Most of the students are from Caryn, Golden or Lightfoot Elementary Schools.
Students in the Concert Band will learn four major scales, as well as other younger level musical techniques. They will perform music in a variety of styles, and from different historical periods.
Students are expected to practice approximately 15 minutes per day. Practice expectations will be posted on this page for student and parents to reference. |
